Elaine is a graduate of East Carolina University with a B.A. in Hispanic Studies. She is a fully bilingual and native Spanish and English speaker with experience and training in translation and interpreting. Most notably, she has worked with Spanish and English speaking communities in the medical field translating and interpreting medical terminology. As part of her position at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina, she developed a large-scale manual of English to Spanish translatable medical terminology. She also works with Globamex Distributions translating legal documents.
Michael is a graduate of East Carolina University (ECU) with a B.A. in Hispanic Studies. He dedicated his time at ECU studying hispanic translation, linguistics, literature, and culture. He also researched on behalf of the university in Second-Language Acquisition. Michael is an M.A. candidate at North Carolina State University (NC State) studying Spanish Linguistics. In addition to his studies at ECU and NC State, Michael also lived abroad while studying Spanish Linguistics at the University of Granada in Granada, Spain. Michael has experience and training in Spanish legal, political, technical, literary, cultural, and consumer-oriented translation.
